8936 chansons (2022)
PERFORMANCE - DSRA presentation- 35 min
In this performance, song titles - their histories, translations, or omissions - are brought into dialogue with personal and collective aspirations. The piece draws from a list of recordings in Turkish, English, and French. Identities are examined through lyrics, interviews, and language lessons. Three performers weave links between remakes, youth idols, and collective slogans. Together, the web project and the performance explore the tension between the mass and the fragment.
